Walter
A. Lynch Sports Center The
indoor physical education and athletic facility named George E.
Nold Hall was built in 1972. It encompasses 94,000 square feet with
a seating capacity in the Walter A. Lynch Sports Center of over
4,000. The facility also includes a deck indoor swimming pool with
a one-meter diving board. In the summer of 2001 the main gymnasium
was renovated to accomodate three regulation basketball courts,
five volleyball courts, four tennis courts, and a ten-lap-to-the-mile
track.
The
complex also has four indoor racquetball courts, four indoor squash
courts, a newly renovated large weight-training complex, and one
of the most up-to-date training room facilities in the country.
The athletic and intramural programs are supported by modern equipment
and a laundry facility. The outdoor facilities at the college include
twelve all-weather tennis courts, a quarter mile all-weather outdoor
track, a 20 station golf driving range, lacrosse/soccer fields,
a softball field, and a baseball field.
