College
Studies
Within the School of Health Sciences and Human Service
is the Department of College Studies. The renowned PATHWAYS program
is housed with the Department of College Studies and offers a comprehensive
one-year enrichment program for students with varying academic and
experiential backgrounds who are not quite ready to select and enter
one of the College's Baccalaureate or Associate Degree Programs.
They view Pathways as, "the starting point for their higher
education pursuits."
The Pathways

become masters of learning technologies; focussing on learning to
learn and developing thinking skills for the 21st century; knowing
the essence of their learning style, clearly articulating their
long range plans and successfully implementing these plans. Our
COLLEGE STUDIES/ PATHWAYS students are enjoying careers in medicine,
allied health professions, engineering, business administration,
business and computer systems, information technologies, teaching,
psychology, allied human resource occupations, forensic sciences
and police studies, sales and entrepreneur careers.
The Department
of College Studies is the "Lighthouse" for student travelers
as they begin their journey through the world of higher education
and academe. Our esteemed faculty are the beacons for teaching the
tools of educational empowerment. Here is the place where students
restructure, rethink and reconfigure goals and future plans.
